E-studio is excited to onboard our first Head of Engineering. Working directly with our leadership team, you will have wide-ranging responsibilities and ownership over our software development efforts. Your entrepreneurial spirit, technical leadership, and pragmatic creativity will be pivotal to our success in expanding our portfolio with high-quality software products.

Your background in full-stack development will enable you to be hands-on where needed and shape the architecture and implementation decisions of our portfolio projects with confidence.

Your experience partnering with product teams and stakeholders through the entire software lifecycle will bridge the gap between E-studio business leadership and the software development teams.

Your expertise will facilitate the creation of smooth consumer experiences on web sites as well as contribute to the success of innovative Machine Learning and AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver excellent software
• Create strong partnerships with E-Studio leaders to drive clarity and confidence in engineering strategy and execution that aligns with business objectives
• Plan and execute greenfield projects with new clients
• Review our pre-existing projects, assess their ongoing needs, and balance attention to them alongside new projects
• Develop and execute an engineering roadmap for operational excellence, including the potential to grow an in-house team in addition to managing outsourced development teams

Experience and skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven track record as an engineer with modern tech stacks, delivering end-to-end solutions in consumer-facing industries (including cloud, web, and mobile)
• Proven success participating in solution architecture, project leadership, and team management
• Exceptional ability to partner with business leaders and clients throughout the software lifecycle
• Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, systems thinking, and critical thinking skills
• Self-directed, enthusiastic, and able to balance pragmatism and aspiration
• Empathetic attitude that focuses on business goals and the experiences of the people interacting with the software we create
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Work environment

Compensation

• 110k-150k USD, dependent on the candidate’s qualifications and geographical location
